Lance Bass and Joey Fatone Team Up to Host E!’s New Cocktail Wars Show
E! is embracing pop culture nostalgia with its newly announced series.
The network, owned by Versant, has greenlit Cocktail Wars, a mixology competition hosted by former NSYNC members Lance Bass and Joey Fatone.
The ten-episode series is set to premiere this summer, featuring a group of mixologists competing for a prize of $10,000 per episode. Contestants will be evaluated based on their flavor combinations and mixing techniques.
Bass and Fatone will be joined by various celebrities and an expert judge throughout the series.
Produced by Texas Crew Productions, known for Netflix’s Sean Combs: The Reckoning, and R&D Media, the show will have Russ McCarroll as showrunner. McCarroll brings a wealth of experience, having executive produced notable series such as the History Channel’s Alone. David Karabinas, Rick Cikowski, Chip Rives, James Macnab, and Brad Bernstein will serve as executive producers from Texas Crew.
This announcement comes as E! is also in production on The Golden Life, which features original stars from The Real Housewives of New York City.
In a joint statement, Bass and Fatone expressed their enthusiasm about the project, stating, “We’re excited to be part of Cocktail Wars and team up again for something this fun. With this much talent, a little competition, a lot of cocktails, and just enough chaos to keep things interesting – that’s usually where we thrive.”
Val Boreland, President of Entertainment at Versant, shared her excitement as well, saying, “We are beyond thrilled to welcome Lance and Joey to E! with Cocktail Wars. Blending competition, creativity, and personality, this show will deliver must-watch moments where nostalgia, pop culture, and mixology are in sync.”
