Kylie Kelce reacted to her brother-in-law, Travis Kelce’s, assertion that he and fiancée Taylor Swift have never had an argument. During the December 11 episode of her podcast Not Gonna Lie, Kylie stated, "We absolutely argue," highlighting the quiet demeanor of her husband, Jason Kelce, while discussing relationships with guest George Clooney on the New Heights podcast.
Kylie and Jason, who have four daughters—Wyatt, 6, Elliotte, 4, Bennett, 2, and Finn, 8 months—addressed the often romanticized notion of conflict-free relationships. In an earlier episode of New Heights, Travis claimed, "I haven’t gotten into an argument. Never once," during a conversation with Clooney, who had mentioned a similar sentiment regarding arguments with his wife, Amal Clooney.
After Travis’s claim attracted attention, Kylie cleverly addressed it on her podcast. "Notice how my husband was oddly quiet during this segment," she observed, suggesting that his silence indicated a different reality in their nearly eight years of marriage. She affirmed, "We absolutely argue," though she noted it doesn’t happen frequently.
Taking the conversation further, Kylie questioned the definition of "argument," stating, "I’m not a yelling arguer. The arguments in our house are not a yelling situation." She emphasized that living together, especially with children, often leads to situations that test one’s patience.
Kylie expressed skepticism about Travis’s and Clooney’s claims of never having conflicts with their partners. "You’re telling me you don’t bicker or argue? Or maybe you do bicker, but you don’t argue? I’m very confused about this," she said. In a humorous nod to Clooney, she added, "To George Clooney’s credit, I would not argue with Amal either."
In response to his own claim, Clooney remarked during New Heights, "Neither of us is gonna win the argument, so why get in?" He explained that, at his age, he sees no benefit in arguing, especially about topics where he respects and values his partner’s perspective.
Kylie’s candid reflections shed light on the realities of marriage, challenging the idealized narratives often portrayed in the media.
