Kristen Kish Has Exciting Plans for a Queer Dating Show at the Reality TV Summit
Kristen Kish Pursues New Ventures Beyond Culinary Television
Kristen Kish, the current host of Top Chef, has taken the reins of the popular culinary competition since its 21st season in 2024. Kish first gained fame as a contestant on the Bravo series, where she triumphed in Season 10. Since then, she has showcased her talents in various food-related programs, including TruTV’s Fast Foodies and Netflix’s Iron Chef: Quest for an Iron Legend.
While continuing to challenge chefs on Top Chef, Kish is eyeing opportunities in a different genre. “Wouldn’t that just be amazing? I think that I’m emotionally available. I’m in a very strong relationship with my wife. I feel like I am an active, great listener and can help people. I feel like, if I don’t have an official title, I’m somewhat of a therapist to myself and a lot of my friends,” she expressed.
Kish has received inquiries from several producers and has proactively encouraged creatives in the dating show realm to consider her for future projects. “There’s so many dating shows. Come on, the queers need love too,” she stated. “In a way that is not made to be a spectacle of any sort, like true foundation of love and trying to find a person.”
With a growing wealth of experience in reality television, Kish recently appeared on Season 4 of Peacock’s The Traitors, where she secured an eighth-place finish. Her expansive background uniquely positions her to explore new avenues within the entertainment industry.
