Kiké Hernández Excited to Rejoin the Dodgers
Kiké Hernández Prepares for 10th Season with Dodgers, Eyes Fourth World Series Title
Kiké Hernández is poised for a significant milestone as he enters his tenth season with the Los Angeles Dodgers, aiming for a third consecutive World Series title.
In an announcement via Instagram on Thursday, Hernández confirmed he would return for the 2026 season. While the Dodgers have yet to officially validate the signing, the utility player expressed enthusiasm for the future. "3 in a row has a nice ring to it," he captioned a photo from the Dodgers’ 2025 World Series victory parade.
This upcoming season marks Hernández’s tenth with the organization, where he has already claimed three World Series championships in 2020, 2024, and 2025. Since being acquired by Los Angeles in a six-player trade from the Miami Marlins in 2014, Hernández has become a fan favorite. He briefly left the Dodgers to sign with the Boston Red Sox after the 2020 season, spending 2½ years in Boston before rejoining Los Angeles at the 2023 trade deadline.
Now 34 years old, Hernández re-signed as a free agent after the 2023 and 2024 seasons, solidifying his commitment to the team.
Earlier on Thursday, the Dodgers bolstered their roster by announcing a contract extension with infielder Max Muncy, further highlighting the organization’s focus on maintaining a competitive edge moving forward.
