The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences has announced the important dates for the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards, scheduled for September 14, 2026, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. This year, the ceremony will take place on a Monday, a departure from its traditional Sunday slot due to an NFL game airing on NBC.
The nominations for the awards will be unveiled on July 8, 2026, encompassing programs that aired from June 1, 2025, to May 31, 2026. Additionally, the Creative Arts Emmys will occur over two nights, on September 5 and 6, at the same venue.
In a recent update, the Television Academy indicated that select changes to Emmy rules will be disclosed during the week of December 15-19, with the full set of 2026 Emmy Rules and Procedures available by the end of January on the official Emmy website.
NBC will broadcast the primetime ceremony live beginning at 5 p.m. PT / 8 p.m. ET, with streaming available on Peacock.
