Kevin Williamson and Neve Campbell Begin Planning for ‘Scream 8’: Neve Shares Her Exciting Idea
Neve Campbell and Kevin Williamson are set to return to the iconic slasher franchise they helped establish three decades ago, as production intensifies for the latest installment of the Scream series.
Williamson shared insights from the set, stating, “When you’re sitting on the set at 3:00 in the morning, you’re like, ‘Well, what would Scream 8 be about?’ And you just start spit-balling. Neve had this great idea, and everyone seemed to run with it. So yeah, if this movie works and people want it, we’re here for the fans. If they want it, we’ll certainly give it to them.”
After opting out of Scream VI (2023) over a low salary offer, Campbell was confirmed to reprise her role as Sidney Prescott in March 2024, with Williamson returning as director.
