### Holiday Charity Efforts at QVC Event
Kathy Hilton emphasized the importance of passing down her family’s charitable traditions at QVC’s Holiday House pop-up in New York City. Speaking to reporters, Hilton stated that she is committed to ensuring her philanthropic efforts continue with future generations.
As a grandmother, Hilton recently faced the task of explaining this work to her daughter Paris Hilton’s children, Phoenix and London. “It’s a tradition, and they’re also learning too,” she remarked. The family regularly participates in several charitable activities during the holiday season, reinforcing the value of community service.
“We do several toy drives, and I did a big pajama party, which my daughter Nicky and I do every year. And we give a percentage of the pajamas to Children’s Hospital,” she added.
Hilton acknowledged that instilling these values in her young grandchildren is a challenge. The two-year-old siblings are still learning about giving back, and their recent encounter with unwrapped toys brought up important discussions. “They’re very polite, but they’re kind of going like, ‘Are these for us?’” she recalled, noting that she explained the toys were meant for less fortunate children.
“The teaching moment was important as one day they will also help out,” she said, highlighting that this engagement in charity work is a learning journey for the children.
In discussing their charitable activities, Hilton shared that the family takes part in events like toy collection for the Los Angeles Mission. “Once they get a little older, we take them down with us, and we visit with the homeless,” she noted. She described the joy of setting up for the event, where children shop for their parents and vice versa, likening her family to “elves setting up gifts.”

Hilton affirmed that her grandchildren remained well-behaved during their visit to the toy collection site and did not touch the toys after learning their purpose. “It’s really heartwarming,” she said about their charity work and the joy it brings to everyone involved.
During this charitable season, Hilton and her family, including husband Rick and children Nicky, Paris, Barron, and Conrad, actively support numerous initiatives. Last year, they partnered with Ronald McDonald House Charities to donate toys to families in need.
Reflecting on the spirit of the holidays, Hilton shared, “It actually makes everybody feel good to be able to do something. During this time of year, we’re all very fortunate. So it’s just a nice time to share, especially with the world.”
As for personal moments during the holiday season, she expressed her fondness for comfort, often enjoying times when she can relax in her pajamas and sweats.
