Kate Middleton Trades Her Classic Polish-Free Look for a Fresh Manicure on Her Trip to Germany
Kate Middleton Stuns with Unexpected Manicure During Germany’s State Visit
During a recent state visit to Germany, Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, unveiled a surprising new look that has captivated royal watchers. In a notable departure from tradition, she showcased a subtle beige manicure, a choice that surprised many given the royal family’s customary preference for understated appearances.
Photographs from the state banquet highlight Middleton’s choice of nail color, which closely matches her skin tone. While there are no formal rules dictating that royals must avoid nail polish, the longstanding practice reinforces the monarchy’s commitment to maintaining a polished public image.
Another standout feature from the evening was the Oriental Circlet Tiara worn by Middleton, a magnificent accessory adorned with approximately 2,600 diamonds. This tiara was last seen on Queen Elizabeth II during a 2005 state visit to Malta.
The Oriental Circlet Tiara marks one of only five tiaras that Middleton has donned; others include the Strathmore Rose Tiara and the Queen Mary Lover’s Knot Tiara. Her choice of this royal adornment has garnered significant attention, particularly given its rich history and exquisite craftsmanship.
Completing her stunning appearance, Middleton wore a dazzling blue gown designed by British designer Jenny Packham. The gown, embellished with hundreds of sequins, featured a matching floor-length cape, further enhancing her regal presence at the banquet.
Typically, the Princess of Wales opts for British designers to showcase local talent, often wearing labels celebrated in the fashion world. Designer Lady Natasha Finch remarked on Middleton’s influence, stating, “It’s an honor when she wears a dress. She always looks elegant and is a fantastic British ambassador.”
