Kate Hudson and Goldie Hawn Shine in Their Makeup-Free Glow for a Special Celebration
Kate Hudson Celebrates Oscar Nomination with Heartfelt Instagram Post
On January 22, Kate Hudson shared an intimate post on Instagram, expressing her joy with the caption, "What a beautiful morning đâïž." The timing was significant, as it coincided with Hudson receiving her second Oscar nomination for her performance in Song Sung Blue.
The post features a captivating carousel of images, including a touching photograph of Hudson alongside her mother, actress Goldie Hawn. Both women appeared makeup-free, with Hudson dressed in a flannel bathrobe as Hawn embraced her on a seemingly peaceful morning.
The second image within the carousel showcases Hudson’s reaction at the moment she learned about her nomination, while the final slide displays her name listed among the nominees for Best Actress.

This nomination marks Hudson’s second Oscar recognition; she was previously nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Penny Lane in the 2000 film Almost Famous. This year, she is being honored for her performance in Song Sung Blue, a musical film co-starring Hugh Jackman.
In preparation for her role, Hudson gained 15 pounds, a choice she described as liberating. "This film was funâI didnât have to watch what I ate," Hudson shared in an interview with W. "I put on 15 pounds, just to be nice and soft. It was over the holiday season, so it was perfect. I wasnât working out much." She also mentioned taking a break from her skincare routines to fully embrace the experience.
Hudson added, "I just let myself be and enjoyed life. Although I also enjoy life when I’m disciplined and working out too, I’m not going to lie."
Song Sung Blue follows the compelling story of a real-life Neil Diamond tribute band, further highlighting Hudson’s continued evolution as an actress.
