Bruckheimer, an Academy Award-nominated producer, boasts a remarkable career with films such as Pirates of the Caribbean and the National Treasure franchise. His collaboration with Kosinski on Top Gun: Maverick has set the stage for their ongoing partnership in F1.
Jim Chabin, President of the AIS, emphasized the significance of their contributions: “For their consistent and thrilling contributions, as exemplified by F1, the Advanced Imaging Society is excited to recognize this extraordinary team with the 2026 Harold Lloyd Award. They have revitalized contemporary filmmaking through their rigorous storytelling and visionary use of technology—reminding us that cinematic spectacle and emotional truth can coexist at the highest level.”

Suzanne Lloyd, granddaughter of Harold Lloyd and Chair of Harold Lloyd Entertainment, remarked, “Harold Lloyd was cinema’s first action hero, who could hang off of a clock over the side of an office building and carry a romantic story through to a happy ending in his films. For a new generation of fans, Joseph’s artistic vision and Jerry’s dynamic leadership have brought a jaw-dropping series of action movies to the screen full of romance, authenticity, and profound emotion. Harold would be thrilled to be recognizing these two trailblazers with his award.”
The Harold Lloyd Award, established 16 years ago by the Lloyd family and the AIS, honors filmmakers who embody the pioneering spirit and technical artistry of the legendary silent film icon. Previous recipients include renowned directors such as Martin Scorsese, Ang Lee, and James Cameron.
The Lumiere Awards, determined by AIS members, acknowledge many of the entertainment industry’s most respected figures in creative and technical fields. Categories include not only motion pictures but also episodic and new media content, recognizing excellence in areas such as Best Musical Motion Picture and immersive audio.
