JoJo Siwa is on the road to recovery after a recent health scare. Just days after revealing that she had been rushed to the hospital due to a ruptured ovarian cyst, the 22-year-old singer provided her 11 million Instagram followers with an update on her condition.

She elaborated on experiencing a fever the night after her hospital visit, but reported that she woke up feeling better the next day.

The Instagram update featured a series of images, including photos of Siwa in the hospital and being loaded into an ambulance, alongside moments from her performance at the Mall of America on the same day of her hospitalization. One image captured Siwa giving a thumbs-up from her hospital bed, while another showed her on a stretcher, wearing the same outfit.
Another photo displayed a thermometer on her leg, registering 100 degrees. This update follows a TikTok video Siwa shared on Saturday, where she detailed her recent ordeal. In the video, she explained that she had been experiencing significant stomach pain during activities like dancing and walking.
Siwa revealed that the pain intensified on Friday morning, prompting her to seek medical help after rest did not alleviate her discomfort. After calling 911, she was taken to the hospital where she was treated with pain medication and an ultrasound. It was discovered that one of her ovaries had a cyst that had burst, leading to bleeding in her abdomen.
“So that’s what was causing the excruciating pain,” Siwa explained. “It’s like brutal pain, and long story short, [it] should resolve itself.”
According to the Mayo Clinic, ovarian cysts can cause serious symptoms, especially when they rupture. Siwa noted that she will have a follow-up appointment in a week and plans to return to her normal work schedule.
