Hilary Duff and Matthew Koma Celebrate Sixth Wedding Anniversary
Hilary Duff and Matthew Koma marked a significant milestone in their relationship, celebrating their sixth wedding anniversary on December 21. The couple shared their affection through humorous tributes on social media, showcasing the playful dynamic of their partnership.
Koma, 38, commemorated the occasion with a lighthearted tribute on his Instagram Stories. Accompanied by a photo of the couple, he wrote, “6 years my wifey. And they said we wouldn’t make it. Literally everyone said, ‘they won’t make it.’"
He continued with a comedic twist, addressing a critic from the "Just Jared" comment section: “Okay just that guy in the Just Jared comment section but f— him we’re crushing.” Koma humorously compared their marriage to “eating Taco Bell in the late 90s,” elaborating, "I never know which you I’m gonna get but it’s largely the same ingredients and the euphoria outweighs the tummy discomfort. And you always look cool."
In another post, Koma shared a series of screenshots documenting their relationship’s beginnings. Duff, also 38, contributed to the festivities with a selfie of the couple, captioning it, “6 years into forever.”

The couple first met while collaborating on Duff’s 2015 album, Breathe In. Breathe Out. Their romantic journey began in early 2017, culminating in their marriage just before Christmas in 2019. They are parents to three daughters: Banks Violet, 7, Mae James, 4, and Townes Meadow, 19 months. Duff is also a mother to her 13-year-old son, Luca Cruz, from a previous relationship.
Duff previously expressed the bond she shares with Koma in a 2021 interview, stating, “We knew we just had to be together because we tried a bunch of times to be apart, and that didn’t work out for either one of us.”
Adding to the lightheartedness of their relationship, Koma has a tattoo of Duff’s name, humorously noting, “Good luck winning a fight with your wife when her name’s tattooed on your butt cheek.”
As they celebrate six years together, Duff and Koma continue to demonstrate a vibrant and loving partnership, steeped in humor and affection.
