Johnny Knoxville and the Jackass franchise will return to theaters this summer.
On January 7, Knoxville, 54, shared an announcement on Instagram along with a graphic indicating the release date, “June 26th.” The post included a photo of himself and the franchise’s logo.
In his caption, Knoxville stated, “We wanted to let you know that this summer Jackass is back!! We will see you in theatres June 26th.” Major entertainment outlets such as Variety and Deadline confirmed that this marks a new entry in the longstanding series. Steve-O, a co-star, responded enthusiastically in the comments, saying, “Yeah dude!!!”
Details about the movie, including its official title and cast, have yet to be revealed. This upcoming release will be the first installment since 2022’s Jackass Forever, which featured Knoxville alongside original cast members and several celebrity guests.
In a 2022 interview on The Howard Stern Show, Knoxville disclosed that he suffered brain damage after a stunt involving a bull and was advised to avoid any further impacts to his head.
The announcement of the new Jackass film follows Knoxville’s recent marriage to costume designer Emily Ting in November. Ting was a costume designer on the last Jackass installment and has worked on various other projects, including The Eric Andre Show.

On November 16, Knoxville expressed his happiness regarding his marriage on Instagram, stating, “Today Emily and I got married and I’m the luckiest and happiest fella in the universe.” He shared photographs from the ceremony, which was officiated by John Waters. The event was described as an intimate gathering of family and friends.
