Jennifer Lopez’s JLo Beauty is set to expand with the launch of a new neck serum, a move that underscores the singer’s commitment to skincare innovation. Initially launched in 2020, her beauty brand is now introducing a product specifically designed for the neck, rather than the face or body.

Lopez recognizes the need for targeted care in this area, particularly given her active lifestyle as a performer. “I use my neck a lot while dancing. I’ve been dancing my whole life, and as I matured, I realized, ‘Wow, we really have to get something going for the neck here,’” she stated during an exclusive interview with PEOPLE.

She tasked her team to formulate a product aimed at not just smoothing texture and softening lines, but also reinforcing the skin barrier by locking in moisture.

Lopez describes the aptly named That Spotlight Silhouette Firming Neck Serum as “truly different” from other treatments. “It tackles every major sign of aging on the neck at once,” she explains, noting that it provides immediate visible results along with those that build over time.

The serum’s formula includes bioengineered growth factors, amino acids, and peptides designed to enhance elasticity and improve skin texture. Additional peptides address firmness and fine lines, complemented by sodium hyaluronate to maintain hydration.

“It’s really kind of a visible transformation,” shares Lopez, who applies the serum every morning post-cleansing and after her face serum. “I massage it upward until it sinks in,” she adds.

For individuals with dry skin, she recommends applying a light layer of moisturizer before following up with sunscreen, which she stresses is essential. “A big JLo Beauty thing is to use sunscreen,” she insists.

Lopez’s beauty routine has gained attention through social media, revealing her serious approach to skincare. Beyond this regimen, she highlights a crucial finishing touch: fragrance. “I could say a lip stain or mascara, but for me, when I feel completely done, it has to do with fragrance,” she shares. “I feel very confident once I’ve got my skincare going and my ‘fit check is right, and my makeup is on point and my glow is glowing, but I need to put that little last finishing touch.”

Reflecting on her five years as a beauty entrepreneur, Lopez acknowledges her personal growth throughout the journey. “I think of myself five years ago and I’m a totally different person now,” she says. “JLo Beauty has always been about beauty from the inside out. I’ve grown and a lot has happened in my life in the last five years. I really feel like I’m a different, more self-realized, self-aware person, and that contributes to the beauty.”

Lopez aims to integrate wellness into her brand’s ethos alongside skincare innovation. “The consistency of really working on my skincare routine and on my self-care emotionally and physically has been something that I plan to really put more in the ethos of JLo Beauty,” she states. “That needs to be a bigger part of our brand ethos.”
