Jennifer Garner Stars as a Widowed Food Blogger in the Trailer for ‘The Five Star Weekend’ on Peacock
Peacock has unveiled a trailer for its upcoming adaptation of The Five Star Weekend, aimed to excite audiences ahead of parent company NBCUniversal’s Upfront presentation.
The trailer showcases Jennifer Garner, who stars as Hollis Shaw, a celebrated food blogger and best-selling author. Following the tragic loss of her husband, Hollis gathers her closest friends from various stages of her life to navigate her grief and find a path forward.
As this diverse group bonds, they begin to support one another in unexpected ways. The series features an ensemble cast, including D’Arcy Carden, Gemma Chan, Regina Hall, Harlow Jane, and Timothy Olyphant. Other notable cast members include Rob Huebel, David Denman, Josh Hamilton, West Duchovny, Judy Greer, Tory Devon Smith, Morrison Keddie, and Roberta Colindrez.

All eight episodes of the series, based on Elin Hildebrand’s novel of the same name, are scheduled to premiere on Peacock on July 9, 2026.
Bekah Brunstetter serves as the creator and writer of the series adaptation, with Minkie Spiro directing. The executive production team includes Garner, Brunstetter, Spiro, Beth Schacter, Sue Naegle, Ali Krug, author Hildebrand, and Merri Howard.
