Jazmin Gamble’s Vision for Revitalizing Hawthorne High Football
Jazmin Gamble Appointed Head Coach of Hawthorne High Varsity Football Team
Hawthorne High School has announced the appointment of Jazmin Gamble as its new varsity head football coach, a significant milestone in a field predominantly occupied by men. Gamble, a professional athlete with the Los Angeles Legends, steps into this role with a commitment to player development.
Taking over a program that faced challenges last season, finishing with a record of 2-8, Gamble emphasizes her focus on nurturing talent and providing opportunities for her players, rather than using her hiring as a platform for political statements.
Gamble brings impressive credentials to her new position, having earned both the Offensive Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year awards in the Women’s National Football Conference in 2025 and 2024, respectively. She continues to play professionally this season, furthering her contributions to the sport and setting an example for aspiring young athletes.
