Jasmeet Expresses Her Struggles with Life Choices in the Season 3 Trailer of ‘Late Bloomer’
Jasmeet Dutta Returns in Season 3 of Late Bloomer
Jasmeet Dutta is back as Canada’s leading millennial social media star in the newly released trailer for Season 3 of Late Bloomer. However, the latest glimpse into his life reveals a work-life balance that appears increasingly precarious.
In the trailer for the comedy-drama series available on Crave, Jasmeet, portrayed by actor Jasmeet Raina, reflects on his turbulent journey. Despite receiving accolades, including the title of ‘Influencer of the Year,’ he confesses, “I don’t know what I’m doing. I did everything I could, whatever I knew I’d used and it still fell apart.”
The internal conflict between Jasmeet’s traditional Canadian-Sikh family values and his role as a nationally recognized YouTuber remains a central theme. One scene shows him opting out of an event celebrating his digital successes, while another features him embracing applause from a cheering audience. Although he is highlighted in the 150 Under 150 feature and graces the cover of Influence Today as ‘The Generational Voice of Diaspora,’ he expresses his dissatisfaction, stating, “I just feel like I’m kind of existing.”
As the trailer unfolds, viewers can also expect the familiar blend of relationship complications, familial disputes, and the challenges posed by well-meaning friends.
Raina, alongside Nelu Handa, has taken the reins as showrunners for this season, with Raina also directing four of the eight episodes. Notably, Canadian filmmaker Fawzia Mirza directs the remaining episodes. The show draws inspiration from Raina’s life, who previously gained fame as the YouTuber JusReign.
Late Bloomer is produced by Ethriel Productions and Blink49 Studios in collaboration with Bell. The series is distributed internationally through Sphere Abacus, Bell’s sales company. The new season is set to premiere on April 24.
In related news, Sphere Abacus has successfully sold Late Bloomer to Lionsgate Play in India, where it has already launched.
