As a guest advisor for Playboy, Bunnie responded to a reader’s question about forming a bond with his girlfriend’s children. Drawing from her own experiences as a stepmother to Jelly Roll’s daughter, Bailee, she advised, “My biggest thing with building my relationship with my bonus baby — don’t use the word ‘step’ — is let them come to you. Don’t force your love on them.”
Jelly Roll has publicly acknowledged the pivotal role Bunnie plays in their family’s life. He shared with Billboard, “You’re talking about a woman that came in and took a child that was soon to be born and a child that [we were] soon to have full custody of. I would have never got custody of my daughter without her. I wouldn’t have had the stability or the money.”
Bunnie’s strong bond with Bailee was particularly evident when the teenager hosted a prom for her parents in December, highlighting the family’s close-knit nature.
The conversation also explored the personal impacts of weight loss, particularly concerning intimacy. Responding to a reader’s concern about a decrease in sexual activity following weight-loss medication use, Bunnie acknowledged the complexities of such changes. “Big body changes mess with your head and hormones,” she explained. “Add a medication that blunts appetite and it’s not shocking libido dips too. It’s likely an adjustment period, not a permanent shift.”
