Avery Katherine Wood and her boyfriend, Carson Cope, have decided to part ways. On January 12, the prominent TikTok creator, who boasts nearly 3 million followers, shared a video detailing the end of their relationship, which lasted nearly four years.
“This video is gonna be very hard to get through, so I’m asking for grace from you guys,” Wood said, visibly emotional as she filmed from her car. “Carson and I had to make a very [grown-up] decision to go our own separate ways. This was a very hard decision,” she added. Acknowledging her feelings, she noted, “He is the greatest thing that’s ever happened to me. And the hardest part about this is that we both love each other so much.”
Reflecting on their journey together, Wood pointed out that their lives were “not currently aligned how they used to be.” She recalled their early romance, stating, “We fell in love when we were 15, and we were just two pieces of cardboard.”

Wood continued, “And then over time, we became puzzle pieces, and our puzzle pieces just don’t fit. And that is not him. That is not me. It is both of us.” Despite their breakup, she emphasized that they still remained “a team.” “The love we still share is real,” Wood asserted. She concluded her video by requesting “grace” as she navigates this transition and expressed gratitude for the support she has received from her followers. The video has since garnered over 7 million views and 1.2 million likes.
Wood and Cope initially met as freshmen in high school, and he frequently appeared in her videos, solidifying his role in her content. Wood is known for sharing lifestyle updates, transitioning from high school to college life. The couple had been open about managing their long-distance relationship after starting their studies at the University of Florida and Eastern University, respectively, in the fall of 2024.
In April 2024, Wood discussed their long-distance arrangement in a video, expressing deep affection and gratitude for having found love early on. She also offered advice to others in similar situations. Just before announcing their breakup, the couple was seen joyfully interacting in a video where Wood playfully pranked Cope.
