Vanessa Hudgens Reminisces with a Throwback Photo after Welcoming Her Second Child: A Look Back at ‘Simpler Times’
Vanessa Hudgens is reflecting on her life before motherhood, sharing nostalgic memories as she embarks on her journey as a mother of two.
In an Instagram post on December 28, Hudgens, 37, wrote, “Well I haven’t gone to any holiday parties or even leave [sic] the home this holiday season. Newborn life lol so here’s a photo of me in simpler times where I danced on tables. What a year it’s been. From this to mom of 2…. What a journey ❤️.” Along with her message, she shared a photo of herself smiling while wearing a hot pink one-piece swimsuit, styled with sunglasses and her hair tied up, as she posed on a table.
This post comes almost a month after she and her husband, Cole Tucker, welcomed their second child. In November, Hudgens exclaimed on Instagram, “Well…. I did it. Had another baby!!! What a wild ride labor is. Big shout out to all the moms. It’s truly incredible what our bodies can do ❤️.” In a subsequent Instagram Story, she humorously noted that she had popped a blood vessel during delivery, captioning a selfie, “Labor: Poppin out babies and blood vessels lol.”
Hudgens first announced her pregnancy in July, revealing her baby bump in a series of photos with Tucker. At the time, she excitedly wrote, “Round two!!!!”
The couple, who met in 2020, were seen together publicly shortly after Hudgens’ split from Austin Butler. Hudgens described their initial meeting on a Zoom meditation group as serendipitous in an April 2021 interview with *Entertainment Tonight*. “Zoom, you’ve got to love it. He’s just kind of perfect for me. I am [happy]. I really am,” she shared.
When discussing their romance, Hudgens later revealed she made the first move, saying, “I fully just slid into his DMs and was like, ‘Hey, it was nice to meet you.’ So I think there is no shame in making the first move,” on *The Drew Barrymore Show* in May 2021.
Less than two years later, *Us Weekly* confirmed that the couple had become engaged. During an appearance on the *Today* show in April 2023, Hudgens reflected on their connection: “After our first weekend together, I called my sister and was like, ‘I think I just found my future husband.’”
In June 2023, a source revealed that both Hudgens and Tucker were eager to start a family, propelling them toward marriage. “They both want a family now and that’s what’s driving them toward getting married [soon],” the insider shared, noting Hudgens had “no doubt” Tucker would be a great father.
The couple tied the knot in Tulum, Mexico, in December 2023. In March 2024, Hudgens announced her first pregnancy, showcasing her baby bump on the Oscars red carpet. They welcomed their first child in July 2024, with Hudgens later sharing that “Mom, Dad, and baby are happy and healthy,” calling it a “special time” for the family.
