Ice Spice Playfully Shares Her Thoughts on the McDonald’s Incident and Wendy’s
Ice Spice Addresses Viral McDonald’s Incident
Rapper Ice Spice has responded to the viral video of an altercation at a McDonald’s in Hollywood, California, earlier this week.
The 26-year-old artist known for her hit “Deli” took to social media on April 17 to inject humor into the situation, stating, “This wouldn’t happen at Wendy’s” alongside a repost of the security footage on X.
The Bronx native also teased an unreleased song, which played in the background of the video.
According to TMZ, Ice Spice was in Los Angeles to shoot a commercial for Wendy’s. Her social media bios on both X and Instagram include “@wendys princes.”
Earlier this year, the Grammy-nominated rapper collaborated with Dunkin’, appearing alongside Ben Affleck in a promotional campaign.
The incident at McDonald’s occurred on April 15, when Ice Spice was reportedly seated with a friend. A confrontation began after another woman attempted to engage her in conversation. Following Ice’s refusal, tensions escalated, resulting in the woman allegedly slapping her. The ensuing scuffle spread across tables and briefly outside until bystanders intervened.
Ice Spice’s attorney, Bradford Cohen, stated that they will explore all legal avenues to hold those responsible accountable. “The unprovoked attack on my client has been reported to the LAPD, and we will pursue any and all criminal and civil routes,” said Cohen. “We are also considering holding the location responsible for their apparent lack of appropriate security.”
Cohen further emphasized that the individuals involved appear to have anticipated capturing video footage to gain notoriety. “Not to mention that the individuals involved obviously did not realize that we would get the video from inside the McDonald’s where the unprovoked attack occurred,” he added. “The only thing that will be going viral for them is their mugshots.”
