Hunter Greene: Inspiring and Supporting the Next Generation of Athletes
Hunter Greene Returns to Notre Dame High School to Inspire the Next Generation
Hunter Greene, the Cincinnati Reds’ No. 2 draft pick in 2017, has made significant strides in his Major League Baseball career while also dedicating himself to inspiring young athletes. His recent visit to Sherman Oaks Notre Dame High School underscores his commitment to student development and community support.
On Saturday, Greene returned to his alma mater to present two scholarships from his foundation, awarded annually to students who exemplify character and community commitment. This year marks the awarding of the seventh and eighth scholarships since the initiative began four years ago.
Even in high school, Greene was recognized for his leadership potential. He continues to embrace this role as a professional athlete, engaging with youth both locally and nationwide.
The alumni baseball game held at Notre Dame featured former major leaguers Brendan Ryan and Brett Hayes, who participated in the event alongside Greene, although he did not play. His ongoing contributions off the field have earned him admiration and gratitude from the community.
This event reflects the positive developments in high school sports and highlights the impact that athletes like Greene can have on upcoming generations.
