Hudson Williams, a star of Heated Rivalry, made his fashion debut on the catwalk Friday, January 16, by opening the Dsquared2 fall 2026 runway show in Milan. The event featured an A.I. reimagining of Carly Simon’s “Let the River Run” as its soundtrack.
Set against the backdrop of the upcoming 2026 Winter Olympics, which will be held in Milan and Cortina starting next month, the Dsquared2 show was themed around winter sports and marked the conclusion of the first day of Milan Fashion Week Men’s Fall/Winter 2026.
The 15-minute runway presentation featured a mash-up of reworkings of “Let the River Run,” with the opening two minutes highlighted by an orchestral-rock interpretation of the Academy Award-winning song. The reworked track is available on streaming platforms under the title “Running on the Water,” attributed to artists like Kradex on Apple Music and Da Soul Orchestra on YouTube and Deezer. Notably, the track is labeled as “AI-generated content” on Deezer, indicating its automated creation. Furthermore, Da Soul Orchestra’s YouTube channel mentions the use of A.I. technology to give iconic tracks a fresh perspective.
“Let the River Run” was originally composed for the 1988 film Working Girl, featuring Harrison Ford, Sigourney Weaver, and Melanie Griffith. The song soundtracks both the film’s opening sequence and its end credits. Simon’s work earned her an Oscar for Best Original Song and a Grammy for Best Song Written for a Motion Picture or Television. The single peaked at No. 49 on the Billboard Hot 100 and reached No. 11 on the Adult Contemporary airplay chart.
Milan Fashion Week continues through January 20. Speculation arose regarding whether Connor Storrie, Williams’ co-star in Heated Rivalry, might make his runway debut for Dolce & Gabbana on Saturday. However, W magazine reported that Storrie’s publicists denied such rumors.
