In a playful new campaign for Dunkin’, Hilary Duff reflects on moments from her "naughty and nice" list. The advertisement, unveiled on December 15, showcases two new festive Munchkin flavors: Holiday Sprinkle and Salted Dark Chocolate.
“Hosting for the holiday season is always so chaotic. I need a little naughty to balance out the nice,” Duff states in the cheeky video shared on Instagram.
At 38, the former star of Lizzie McGuire playfully introduces a pair of Munchkins, with one declaring, “Balance is key.” The Salted Dark Chocolate treat asks, “Did someone say naughty?”
“Contrary to popular belief, I can be naughty,” Duff proclaims, eliciting a witty response from the Munchkin: “My legal name is literally coal. You’re going to have to crank up the heat, girlfriend.”
The video progresses as Duff unveils her “Hilary’s Naughty & Nice List,” telling the Munchkins to “buckle up.” She humorously contrasts her actions, saying, “Texting to say ‘I’ll be there in five,’ nice. Hitting ‘send’ while I’m still horizontal in bed, naughty.”

The actress then adds, “Making every millennial’s dream come true when I announce new music, nice!” The “nice” Munchkin responds, “Not all heroes wear capes.”
Recently, Duff announced her upcoming album luck…or something, which is set to release soon after her single "Mature." This marks her return to music after a decade, following her last full-length album, Breathe In. Breathe Out.
To balance her positive gesture, Duff humorously admits, “Telling my kids they can’t have Dunkin’ Munchkins for dessert so that I can have them for dinner.”
“You are naughty,” the dark chocolate Munchkin replies, playfully acknowledging her.
Duff’s family includes her first child, son Luca Cruz, born in 2012, whom she had with her former husband Mike Comrie. She married Matthew Koma in 2019 and is also a mother to daughters Banks Violet and Mae James, born in 2018 and 2021, respectively. Duff recently announced she is expecting her fourth child, with Townes born in May 2024.

“Moral of the story is, being all naughty or all nice? That’s so yesterday,” she remarks, referencing her 2003 song of the same name from her album Metamorphosis.
The nostalgia continues with Dunkin’s official Instagram account commenting, "This is what dreams are made of," recalling a famous lyric from the Lizzie McGuire Movie soundtrack.
Dunkin’ describes its Salted Dark Chocolate Munchkins as “rich, salty-sweet, and carrying just enough ‘lump of coal’ energy to make you feel delightfully mischievous.” Ideal for those willing to risk ending up on the naughty list this season, they are complemented by the red, green, and white Holiday Sprinkle Munchkins, which are characterized as “full of nice-list energy.”
Dunkin’ adds, “They’re the treat you bring when you’re trying to be your best holiday self…or at least look like it.”
