Hayley Law, Ava Capri, and Luke Cook Join the Cast of the Romantic Comedy ‘Flyover’ at Cannes Market
Production Begins on Romantic Comedy "Flyover" Starring Hayley Law and Ava Capri
Production has commenced in Los Angeles and Oklahoma on the romantic comedy Flyover, featuring a notable cast that includes Hayley Law, Ava Capri, Sara Eklund, and Luke Cook.
The film, directed by Jackie! Zhou, is based on a script penned by Sara Eklund and Maria Fernanda Prieto of Purple Cactus Productions. Convoke Media is overseeing sales for the project.
Flyover follows a group of women who embark on a journey from Los Angeles to a so-called “flyover state” to explore whether their dating dilemmas are influenced by geographical factors or deeper personal issues.
This project boasts an experienced production team, including Justine Conte, co-producer of Killers of the Flower Moon and Joker: Folie A Deux, alongside Adria Baratta and Todd Slater of Convoke Media.
Jackie! Zhou, who previously gained recognition as an Emmy-nominated sound designer and a Sundance Scholar, directed Chappell Roan’s music video HOT TO GO!. Reflecting on her new project, Zhou expressed, “When I first read Flyover, I was struck by how contemporary and honest it felt. These are characters and friendships I recognize deeply from my own life. We’re making a film that’s fun, but also one that reflects how complicated and human relationships are today. I’m excited for audiences to see themselves in it.”
