Havana Rose Liu Shares Her Thoughts on Ayo Edebiri, Rachel Sennott, and the Bottoms Cast Becoming Rising Stars

Havana Rose Liu Celebrates Success of ‘Bottoms’ Co-Stars at New Premiere
At the premiere of the new holiday film Oh. What. Fun. on December 2, actress Havana Rose Liu expressed her admiration for her Bottoms co-stars Rachel Sennott and Ayo Edebiri, celebrating their recent successes. Liu remarked on the “so awesome” feeling of witnessing her fellow cast members thrive in their careers.
The 2023 comedy Bottoms, which has gained a cult following, also featured Nicholas Galitzine, Kaia Gerber, Ruby Cruz, and others. Liu, 28, praised her co-stars for their achievements since the film’s release, referencing Edebiri’s acclaimed performance in The Bear and Sennott’s notable role in I Love LA.
"I love all of them so much, and it’s really cool to really believe in someone and then see just how much that is true," Liu shared. "It’s beautiful to see how amazing they are."
Reflecting on her experience working with such a talented ensemble, Liu noted, “They’re just the most talented cast ever,” adding that she cherished the time they spent together before launching into major stardom. This perspective highlights the special bond created among the Bottoms cast during filming.
Having made significant strides since the release of Bottoms, Sennott has co-written the film Saturday Night and developed the HBO series I Love LA. Meanwhile, Galitzine has secured roles in upcoming films, including a project directed by Oh. What. Fun. director Michael Showalter, alongside Anne Hathaway. Edebiri, celebrated for her Emmy-winning role, continues to ascend in Hollywood, recently appearing in Luca Guadagnino’s After The Hunt.
Liu herself remains active, most recently starring in Oh. What. Fun., where she plays the daughter of Michelle Pfeiffer’s character. As she continues to navigate her growing career, Liu describes her experience working with the cast as a unique learning opportunity, acknowledging the talent and wisdom of her fellow actors, including breakout star Dominic Sessa.
"It’s just stacked beyond stacked,” she said, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to collaborate with such seasoned professionals.
Oh. What. Fun. is currently streaming on Prime Video, while Bottoms is available on Netflix.
