New Rom-Com Musical ‘From London With Love’ Wraps Production
Harriet Slater, Danila Kozlovsky, and Sabrina Bartlett are set to star in the romantic comedy musical From London With Love, which has recently completed production. The film is currently being showcased at the European Film Market by Universal Exports Media.
Kozlovsky, a prominent Russian actor known for his roles in Vikings and The Vampire Academy, has taken on the dual role of director and co-writer, collaborating with Mark Aston on the screenplay.
The narrative follows a reclusive and self-doubting songwriter who embarks on a quest for a professional resurgence and unexpectedly falls for a bold first responder. As their relationship develops, the songwriter’s music expresses emotions he struggles to articulate.
The cast features a diverse ensemble including Frances Barber, Nick Moran, Richard Clifford, Assa Kanouté, Nisha Nayar, and Lucas Jones.
Produced by DK Entertainment and London’s Goldfinch Entertainment, the film is being sold by Jordan Dykstra at Universal Exports Media. Kirsty Bell and Ben Charles Edwards are the producers from Goldfinch, while Kozlovsky, Slater, and Phil Mckenzie serve as executive producers.
Slater, recognized for her role in Outlander: Blood of My Blood, has recently been announced as co-lead in the sequel to the film Fall. Bartlett, who gained fame from Bridgerton, recently appeared in the U.S. romantic comedy Fck Valentines Day*.
Kozlovsky stated, “This is a story of broken people desperately in need of love. The fear of never finding it, the fear of trusting and loving again. In their doubts, fragility, fears, sincerity, and tenderness, in some ways they are similar to Chekhov’s characters. This film has a lot of love, music, humour and beautiful actors who made this story real.”
Kirsty Bell described From London With Love as “a feel-good romantic comedy — charming, funny, and irresistibly warm.” She emphasized that it represents the kind of film audiences seek for its escapist and hopeful nature, underpinned by a love story that resonates deeply.
