Moses Martin, the 19-year-old son of Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and actress Gwyneth Paltrow, made his musical debut with the single “Promise,” released last week under his band People I’ve Met. The track has received enthusiastic feedback, including a show of support from Paltrow herself.
Paltrow shared an Instagram video on December 6, showcasing a montage set to “Promise,” a day after its official release. The video featured various scenes, including a night-time aerial view of New York City, promotional images of Paltrow, and clips of Moses performing on stage.
Notable figures in the industry have taken notice, with Reese Witherspoon, a friend of Paltrow, commenting on the video, “Love this song, Moses!! 👏.”
On the day of the song’s release, Moses expressed his pride in “Promise” on Instagram. He expressed gratitude towards his bandmates Orlando Wiltshire and Andrew Suster as well as producer Noah Conrad, noting his appreciation for their collaboration. “Sometimes I associate songs with colors, and to me this one felt like a sort of rainbow, so I wanted to capture that — the full spectrum of color and life,” he commented in a press release.
In a separate statement, Wiltshire mentioned that the song reflects Moses’s experiences, detailing a breakup in real time.

People I’ve Met, previously known as DANCER, toured with Royel Otis this past summer at select dates. Apple Martin, Moses’s sister and a burgeoning artist, commented in August on her brother’s achievement, expressing, “My brother is a ROCKSTAR!!!!! I am the proudest sister.”
In a heartfelt birthday post on Instagram earlier this year, Paltrow praised Moses’s talents, stating, “You have an incredible intellect and you are so gifted, so talented. I listen to your music on repeat and miss you so much at college.”
Apple has also ventured into music, participating in the band Jade Street for her debut single “Satellite” released in October. Currently, she is pursuing studies in law, history, and society at Vanderbilt University in Nashville.
