The two first met while Veronika was a student at George Mason University and Sean was an assistant tight end coach for the Washington Commanders. McVay’s career trajectory took off when he joined the Rams in 2017, becoming the youngest head coach in the modern NFL. He now aims to lead the Rams to the 2026 Super Bowl.
Sean and Veronika married in June 2022 and welcomed their sons into the world: Jordan John in October 2023 and Christian Alexander in December 2025.
“What a blessing. What a cool thing. It’s wild. I don’t even think you can put words to it,” McVay expressed during a press conference after the birth of his first son.
Veronika’s Ukrainian Heritage

Veronika Khomyn was born in Ukraine and immigrated to the United States in 2009. She openly embraces her heritage on social media and has expressed strong support for Ukraine amid the ongoing conflict since 2022.
During the 2022 Critics’ Choice Awards, Veronika and Sean presented the award for Best Picture but began with a poignant message addressing the situation in Ukraine.
“Before we announce the nominees, we’d like to take a moment to talk about what’s on all of our minds: Veronika’s home country, Ukraine,” Sean said.
Veronika added, “I proudly stand with my fellow Ukrainians, and I admire their strength. They have faced unimaginable adversity with such profound grace and bravery; their fight and the way they have united the world is truly inspiring. There is no place in our world for this kind of violence, and our prayers go out to all the lives that have been lost.”

According to reports, Sean and Veronika met between 2011 and 2013 when she was attending George Mason University and he was serving as an assistant tight end coach for the Washington Commanders.
Veronika holds a bachelor’s degree in international business from George Mason University and a master’s in global management from Arizona State University.
Real Estate Career
Veronika is a licensed luxury real estate agent at The Agency.
She revealed her entry into the real estate industry on social media in April 2021, expressing her long-standing passion for the field. “I’m excited to share that I have decided to step foot into the world of real estate professionals. Cheers to new adventures, challenges, and memories!”
Engagement in France

In June 2019, during a trip to France, Veronika announced their engagement via Instagram, showcasing her new ring.
“Can’t wait to call him my husband,” she wrote alongside a video featuring Sean.
She later shared additional photos from Portofino, Italy, stating, “The man of my dreams, my best friend, and the love of my life asked me to marry him… And I said YES!!! to being his McBae forever.”

Veronika was present to support Sean during Super Bowl LVI, where the Rams claimed victory in 2022.
Following the game, she took to Instagram to congratulate him: “I’ve watched this guy grind nonstop. Day in and day out. No breaks. He always puts everyone else first, and winning this Lombardi trophy for his team, his family, and his friends is a dream come true!!! I love you babe, you deserve this times a million. Victory tastes pretty damn good!”
Their Wedding in June 2022
Sean and Veronika exchanged vows on June 4, 2022, at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles. The ceremony was officiated by Tom Raponi, a former professional football player.
Notably, NFL star Odell Beckham Jr. made an unexpected appearance at the wedding, much to the delight of both Sean and his mother.
In keeping with their football theme, the couple’s wedding cake was designed as a replica of the Vince Lombardi trophy, which the Rams had won earlier that year.
Their Growing Family
The couple welcomed their first child, Jordan John McVay, on October 24, 2023. His middle name honors Sean’s late grandfather, a former executive with the San Francisco 49ers.
During a press conference, Sean shared the significance of Jordan’s timing, saying, “His original due date was when my grandfather passed a year ago. If you don’t believe in a higher power, there are certain things that happen that make you realize there’s something special going on.”
He continued, “The influence my grandfather had on me and our family was significant. I thought it was appropriate to have his middle name in honor of my grandfather. His legacy carries on.”
The family grew again with the birth of their second son, Christian Alexander McVay, in December 2025.
