The new film, Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, which began streaming on Netflix on December 12, features a complex web of relationships among its characters. However, the real-life romances of the film’s cast reveal even more intriguing dynamics.
Directed by Rian Johnson, the film showcases Daniel Craig reprising his role as Benoit Blanc, an unconventional detective investigating the murder of Monsignor Jefferson Wicks, portrayed by Josh Brolin. Alongside Craig and Brolin, the cast includes notable actors such as Josh O’Connor, Cailee Spaeny, Glenn Close, Kerry Washington, Mila Kunis, Andrew Scott, and Jeremy Renner.
In August 2024, Glenn Close remarked to PEOPLE that filming the movie was “truly one of the best experiences of [her] life,” emphasizing the stellar ensemble assembled by Johnson.

Craig is the only cast member to have appeared in all three Knives Out films. Since 2011, he has been married to actress Rachel Weisz. The couple initially met in 1994 during a theater production but formed a deeper bond while working together in the 2011 film Dream House. They married in June of that year and welcomed their daughter Grace in 2018, each having a child from previous relationships.
In a rare public appearance, the pair walked the red carpet together at the London premiere of Wake Up Dead Man in October 2025.
