The Brooklyn-based band Geese made their debut as a musical guest on Saturday Night Live.
On Saturday, January 24, Geese took the stage at Studio 8H, performing two songs from their acclaimed third album, Getting Killed.
The episode, hosted by One Battle After Another star Teyana Taylor, showcased her critically lauded performance in the Leonardo DiCaprio-led film. Taylor also garnered a nomination for Best R&B Album for Escape Room at the 2026 Grammy Awards.
For their first performance, Geese played “Au Pays du Cocaine,” the eighth track from their album, which was released in September 2025. Joined by touring keyboardist Sam Revaz, the indie rock group returned to the SNL stage for a moody rendition of “Trinidad.”

The release of Getting Killed follows Geese’s 2023 album, 3D Country. Reflecting on the album’s creation, frontman Cameron Winter told Rolling Stone in August 2025, “I was unhappy until the last possible moment. Maybe even still. The whole process — maybe this is just how we make albums — but it’s all kind of a waking nightmare until it’s mastered.”
Guitarist Emily Green echoed that sentiment, stating, “It does feel like a brute-force effort until the very end.”
Currently, the band is touring worldwide, with a performance scheduled in Honolulu on January 31 before heading overseas. They will return to the U.S. for the Treefort Music Festival in Boise, Idaho, in March, and have several significant festival appearances planned, including Coachella, Governors Ball, and Bonnaroo.
Last week’s episode of SNL featured Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard as host, with A$AP Rocky serving as musical guest. The upcoming episode on January 31 will see Alexander Skarsgård as host and Cardi B as the musical guest.
