FX’s Wedding Episode of ‘Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette’ Sees a Boost in Ratings
Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette is sparking a resurgence of nineties fashion trends and reigniting interest in a prominent figure from the Kennedy dynasty and his wife, a Calvin Klein publicist.
The series continues to perform well on FX.
The network announced that this limited series has become its most-watched offering on Disney+ and Hulu, with an audience increase of over 80% for the wedding episode. While FX did not disclose specific viewership numbers for the sixth episode of the nine-part series, it noted that the episode achieved the largest audience boost of the season.
Interest in the wedding portrayal, which was conducted in secrecy at a small wooden chapel on Cumberland Island off Georgia’s coast, contributed to this surge. The episode was penned by Juli Weiner and directed by Gillian Robespierre.
