Fullerton Stabbing and Hit-and-Run Connected to Suspect from Buena Park Police Chase
Man Dies Following Stabbing and Hit-and-Run in Fullerton, Suspect Arrested
FULLERTON, Calif. – A man was tragically killed Sunday night in Fullerton after a violent altercation resulted in a stabbing and subsequent hit-and-run. Authorities confirmed that the suspect was arrested later that evening in Buena Park.
The Fullerton Police Department reported that the incident began just before 9 p.m. at the intersection of Euclid and Baker streets. Eyewitnesses called 911, reporting a man had been stabbed in the street and subsequently run over by the same individual who fled the scene. Emergency responders performed life-saving measures on the victim, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Approximately 20 minutes after the stabbing, police apprehended the suspect in Buena Park following a brief vehicle pursuit. The suspect’s Toyota Camry sideswiped a wall at an apartment complex before officers managed to box him in on Beach Boulevard near La Palma Avenue.
Witnesses noted the suspect’s erratic behavior during his arrest, with reports of him yelling and crying. One witness recalled hearing the suspect say, "God, please forgive me." Law enforcement has confirmed the driver’s connection to the earlier incident.
Police have not disclosed the identities of either the victim or the suspect. Additionally, there are no details regarding a potential motive or whether the two individuals were known to each other prior to the incident.
