Focus Features Announces Release of AI-Themed Sci-Fi Thriller ‘Hot Spot’
Focus Features is set to release the highly anticipated sci-fi thriller Hot Spot on August 21 in North American theaters. The film marks a reunion with director Agnieszka Smoczyńska, known for her previous work on The Silent Twins.
Hot Spot will debut alongside several notable films, including Black Bear’s crime thriller The Rivals of Amziah King, the comedy Spa Weekend, Screen Gems’ Insidious: Out of the Further, and Lionsgate’s action thriller Mutiny, featuring Jason Statham.

This Polish-Greek co-production features a screenplay by Robert Bolesto and is produced by Madants and its partners in Poland, alongside Neda Film and its associates in Greece.
