Five Oakland Suspects Arrested in Bold Beverly Hills Robbery
Couple Targeted in Daylight Robbery on Rodeo Drive
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. – A couple was violently robbed in broad daylight on November 23, 2024, while shopping on the renowned Rodeo Drive. Authorities have arrested five individuals, including three teenagers, in connection with the incident.
According to Beverly Hills police, the robbery occurred around 1:20 p.m. as four suspects, clad in black clothing and face coverings, approached the victims outside a retail store in the 400 block of North Rodeo Drive. The attack left the male victim with a firearm injury to the back of his head, while the female victim was thrown to the ground and repeatedly kicked.
Video footage from onlookers captured the suspects fleeing the scene, an act that left both residents and tourists in shock. The assailants made off with several valuable items, including handbags, cash, and an engagement ring.
Following the robbery, the suspects escaped in a rental car driven by a fifth individual. Investigators later determined that all five are residents of Oakland, California. Working alongside the U.S. Marshals Service task force, Beverly Hills detectives located and arrested the suspects in Oakland. They have since been returned to Beverly Hills to face charges.
Police records indicate that two of the arrested individuals were juveniles at the time of the robbery. The suspects have been identified as Kingikirah Stevenson, 31; D’Angelo Tedla, 22; Kingelijah Stevenson, 18; Wendel Stevenson, 18; and Jaeyden Duncan, 18. Kingikirah Stevenson is facing charges of robbery and conspiracy, while the others have been charged with robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, and conspiracy.
The suspects are currently awaiting trial in Beverly Hills.
