Firefighters Respond to House Fire in Winnetka
Firefighters Respond to Blaze in Winnetka Building
Fire crews are actively combating a fire at a two-story building in Winnetka this morning, as reported by the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD). The incident was first reported shortly after 5 a.m. on the 20000 block of W. Sherman Way.
According to LAFD, progress is being made, though the situation requires a dual approach. Firefighters are engaged in a defensive operation in one section of the building due to a partial collapse, while simultaneously conducting an offensive operation at the rear. This strategy aims to halt the fire’s spread throughout the office complex.
In a statement, LAFD noted, “It is an offensive operation towards the rear where crews are also working to prevent any further extension through the office building.”
One individual has been transported to a medical facility; however, details regarding their age and condition remain unavailable.
