Felicia Pride’s Honey Chile Takes on Film and TV Adaptation of ‘The Greene Sisters’ Romance Trilogy
EXCLUSIVE: Felicia Pride’s Honey Chile Entertainment has secured the film and television rights to Kristina Forest’s acclaimed The Greene Sisters romance trilogy from Penguin Random House. This acquisition marks a significant expansion for the company’s slate of projects.
The trilogy, which includes The Neighbor Favor, The Partner Plot, and The Love Lyric, follows the lives of three accomplished sisters as they navigate career aspirations, familial expectations, and the complexities of modern love. Although each novel stands on its own, together they paint a comprehensive portrait of contemporary Black sisterhood and romance. The series has earned praise for its vibrant and accessible depiction of Black love and has garnered a loyal global readership.
Pride will both write and produce the first film in the series while serving as producer for the subsequent two installments.

“I’ve been a fan of Felicia Pride’s work for years, and we share the same mission of creating life-affirming art featuring Black women,” said Forest. She added, “I’m so thrilled that Honey Chile has optioned The Greene Sisters series and I’m excited for all that’s to come.”
“At Honey Chile, we’ve always centered the audience and the power of Black storytelling,” Pride commented. “Kristina is such a smart writer whose work completely draws you into her worlds. Her Greene Sisters trilogy captures romance, ambition, and partnership in ways that feel aspirational and deeply familiar. As we mark five years in operation, our commitment to telling layered, culturally resonant stories, the kind born in our living rooms, hair salons, and girls’ trips — has never been stronger. We’re excited for this next chapter.”
Currently, Pride serves as the showrunner and executive producer for a forthcoming Netflix sequel to the iconic ’90s sitcom A Different World, which centers around Hillman College. This new series follows Deborah Wayne, the free-spirited youngest daughter of Dwayne Wayne and Whitley Gilbert, as she navigates love, ambition, and identity within the legacy of an HBCU experience that shaped a cultural era.
Most recently, Pride was the Co-Executive Producer for Peacock’s drama Bel-Air, where she penned the premiere of the final season. The series has received seven 2026 NAACP Image Award nominations.
With the adaptation of The Greene Sisters, Pride expands her world-building reputation, bringing a unique perspective to stories of intimacy, ambition, and modern Black love.
