As she prepared for her hosting duties, Glaser acknowledged the challenges of writing her material. “I didn’t know how tough it would be, in terms of the writing,” she commented on the Golden Globes website. “I wanted jokes that people at home and people in the room could get — jokes that are funny but not too mean.”
