Family to Talk About Charges in the Accident That Took Loyola High School Tennis Player’s Life
Charges Expected in Fatal Hit-and-Run of Loyola High School Tennis Player
Los Angeles County prosecutors are set to announce charges in the tragic death of Braun Levi, an 18-year-old tennis player at Loyola High School, who was killed by a DUI suspect in May.
On May 4, Levi was walking along Sepulveda Boulevard when a vehicle struck him, leading to fatal injuries that resulted in his death at a nearby hospital. His mother, Jennifer Levi, attended a news conference on Monday where Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman revealed that the driver has been charged with murder and gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated. These charges were filed last week.
Levi was a distinguished athlete and was preparing to graduate shortly before his death. A highly regarded tennis player, he had ambitions of continuing his sport at the University of Virginia. Earlier this year, his family relocated to Manhattan Beach after their home in Pacific Palisades was lost in the January Palisades Fire.
The announcement of these charges marks a significant development in a case that has drawn much attention within the community.
