Los Angeles Hotel Scene Welcomes New Arrivals
Los Angeles is witnessing a wave of revitalization in its hotel industry, highlighted by a blend of historic charm and modern luxury. Notable openings include a reimagined Sunset Strip icon and a chic boutique hideaway in Beverly Hills, both set to enhance the city’s hospitality offerings for locals and visitors alike.
Hotel Lili
A fresh addition to the Beverly Hills landscape is Hotel Lili, a boutique property from Palisociety, led by Avi Brosh. This stylish 44-room hotel occupies a historic residence dating back to 1939, situated discreetly on South Lasky Drive. Unlike the larger palatial accommodations typical of Beverly Hills, Hotel Lili fosters a more intimate atmosphere.
The hotel’s design, crafted by Palisociety’s in-house team, draws inspiration from Parisian aesthetic, featuring layered textures, custom furnishings, and sculptural lighting. Guests are welcomed with complimentary bubbles in the lobby, which also serves as a social lounge and an evening cocktail bar. The thoughtfully designed rooms include Diptyque bath amenities, espresso machines, and curated minibars.
Public West Hollywood
In West Hollywood, hotelier Ian Schrager is set to launch the first West Coast location of his Public Hotels brand this spring. The 137-room property will inhabit the former Standard Hotel building on the iconic Sunset Strip, representing Schrager’s third venture in Los Angeles.
Collaborating with British architect John Pawson, the new hotel will showcase a pool, a social lobby, and three dining and entertainment venues. A landscaped rooftop terrace spanning 16,000 square feet will offer stunning views of the city. The brand’s "luxury for all" philosophy aims to provide design-focused spaces and inviting communal areas at accessible price points.
The Valorian Los Angeles
The Mondrian Los Angeles has transformed into The Valorian, now part of the Curio Collection by Hilton. This change marks a new era for the property, which has established a nightlife legacy since its debut in 1996.
The extensive renovation introduced guest rooms and suites with sweeping views from the West Hollywood hills to Downtown Los Angeles. Mexican restaurant Casa Madera continues to operate on-site, while the former Sky Bar has been rebranded as the White Rabbit Sky Lounge, featuring rooftop cocktails and panoramas. The hotel also plans to host seasonal activations and immersive experiences, further enriching its offerings.
As these innovative properties reshape the local hospitality landscape, Los Angeles continues to affirm its status as a vibrant destination for both tourists and residents.
