Los Angeles Marathon Set to Kick Off March 8
The ASICS Los Angeles Marathon is just under two weeks away, with over 25,000 runners expected to participate in the sold-out event. The marathon will commence at Dodger Stadium and conclude in Century City.
The race starts at 7 a.m., allowing participants 6 hours and 30 minutes to finish once the last runner crosses the starting line. Spanning 26.2 miles, the course winds through iconic Los Angeles neighborhoods and landmarks, including Little Tokyo, the Capitol Records Tower, the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Grauman’s Chinese Theater, Chateau Marmont, Rodeo Drive, Chinatown, Sunset Strip, and Beverly Hills.
Runners and spectators can look forward to lively entertainment along the route, featuring cheer zones and performances by DJs, dragon dancers, drummers, and more. The finish line is located at the intersection of Santa Monica Boulevard and Avenue of the Stars in Century City, where a festival will welcome supporters.
In a noteworthy development, NBC4 and Telemundo 52 have been named the new broadcasting partners for this year’s marathon, a partnership that will extend through at least 2029. Viewers can anticipate extensive coverage across both media platforms in English and Spanish.
