Exciting New Bars and Lounges Opening at Katella Commons in Anaheim in 2027
New Entertainment Destination in Anaheim Set to Unveil Six Bars and Lounges by 2027
A new entertainment hub is taking shape near the Honda Center in Anaheim, promising to enhance the local nightlife with the introduction of six unique bar and lounge concepts. These establishments will be part of OCVIBE, a vibrant mixed-use development currently under construction.
The OCVIBE project spans 100 acres and recently unveiled plans for these exciting additions, which will be located within Katella Commons, a 50,000-square-foot, two-story market hall scheduled to open in early 2027.
According to a press release, the planned venues are designed to offer a variety of experiences. They include:
- Bar Bacchia: A moody tasting bar focusing on curated wines and hosting pop-up tasting events.
- Vesper Lounge: A cocktail bar featuring gin, martinis, spritzes, and botanical spirits, influenced by Japanese and Scandinavian design elements.
- Barrel Bar: A modern European café-style spot serving spritzes, classic cocktails, beer, wine, and small bites.
- Rea’s Ranch: This beer garden concept will offer draft beers, natural wines, and coffee service while reflecting California desert aesthetics. Its name honors John Rea, a late 19th-century settler of Katella Avenue.
- The unbranded social heart of Katella Commons: This lush gathering space will serve cocktails and frozen drinks.
- The glamour-meets-maximalism pavilion: Inspired by late ‘70s and early ‘80s aesthetics, this high-energy space will provide Instagram-worthy cocktails and a vibrant atmosphere.
These new bars and lounges aim to cater to a range of customer preferences, from quiet wine tastings to lively social gatherings.
Additional Features at Katella Commons
Katella Commons will also house 21 food stalls and a culinary program led by renowned Chef Rémi Lauvand. Known for his expertise in food science and a deep understanding of the hospitality industry, Lauvand emphasizes the importance of variety in the offerings.
“Everybody can find their little niche and be comfortable,” Lauvand remarked. He highlighted that today’s consumers are increasingly interested in the ingredients and techniques behind their food and drinks.
