Ellie Goulding, 39, is making it clear that her pregnancy will not define her identity. In a recent interview with NYLON, the singer discussed her evolving family dynamics with her boyfriend Beau Minniear.
Following her announcement last month about expecting her second child — a child she is having with Minniear — Goulding remarked that she is also the mother of 4-year-old Arthur from her previous marriage to Caspar Jopling.
“I didn’t want to become just a pregnant woman first,” Goulding shared. “Not every woman has this luxury. I have amazing people around me.”

“I have an amazing boyfriend. I do have it a little easier in that I do have amazing support,” she added. “I’m still working every day and still writing every day. It’s just that I am growing a human inside me.”
Goulding revealed her pregnancy publicly in December while walking the red carpet at the 2025 Fashion Awards. This child will be her first with Minniear, who is 28 years old.

The “Love Me Like You Do” singer and Minniear publicly debuted their relationship in September during an outing in London. Their connection appears to have developed since at least July, when Minniear posted a picture of Goulding on social media.
Just prior to her current relationship, Goulding and art dealer Jopling announced their separation after 4½ years of marriage in February 2024. Following that split, Goulding addressed their private separation via Instagram Stories, emphasizing their commitment to co-parenting Arthur while requesting respect for their family’s privacy.
