Elle Duncan from SportsCenter to Host Netflix’s ‘Skyscraper Live’ in New Multi-Year Agreement
Elle Duncan, recognized for her role at the SportsCenter desk, is set to expand her horizons with a new multi-year agreement with Netflix. The announcement follows her emotional departure from ESPN earlier this week, where she was well-regarded in the sports community.
Duncan’s inaugural assignment with the streamer will be to host Skyscraper Live in early 2026. This live special will feature renowned free solo climber Alex Honnold in a daring attempt to scale Taipei 101.
This marks Netflix’s first collaboration with an on-air anchor, highlighting the company’s commitment to expanding its live sports offerings.
In addition to her hosting role, Duncan will contribute to Netflix’s growing sports portfolio, particularly as the platform increasingly ventures into coverage of football and other sports.

Duncan joined SportsCenter in 2016 and has hosted various programs, including College GameDay Women’s Basketball and WNBA Countdown, in addition to The Elle Duncan Show on YouTube. Her career also includes two years as an anchor at the New England Sports Network (NESN) and prior experience as a sideline reporter for the Atlanta Hawks in Georgia.
Expressing her excitement, Duncan stated, “Joining Netflix feels like being invited to an already legendary party and somehow getting handed the aux cord. For a lifelong utility player, a multi-sport assignment is a full-circle moment, and being trusted with something this one-of-a-kind feels incredibly special and surreal. I’m bringing boundless energy, storytelling, and bad puns no one asked for but will be subjected to anyway. Also, I was told this fast-tracks my kids to meeting the K-Pop Demon Hunters, soooo…win-win.”
Gabe Spitzer, Vice President of Sports at Netflix, remarked, “Elle Duncan’s proven ability to seamlessly move between hard-hitting sports analysis and warm, personality-driven cultural hosting makes her a perfect fit at Netflix. She immediately adds credibility and familiar star power to our global programming slate.”
