Ella Purnell Shares Excitement for Season 2 of ‘Sweetpea’: It’s Going to Be Huge!
Ella Purnell is celebrating a successful second season as Rhiannon Lewis in the upcoming Season 2 of Sweetpea, which will air on Sky Atlantic and Starz.
Reflecting on her experience, Purnell remarked, “I’m exhausted, and it was worth it. It was a really crazy season. Season 1 was quite small and tame in comparison to how bonkers this season is. There’s so much in it. It’s big.”
In Sweetpea, Purnell portrays Rhiannon, a quiet character often overlooked by her colleagues and sister, who develops an electrifying thirst for revenge through murder. Purnell also stars as Lucy MacLean in Fallout, discussing the stark contrast between the two roles. After Sweetpea was renewed for a second season last December, she spoke of the duality required to embody the non-violent vault dweller Lucy before returning to the intense realities of Rhiannon.

“It’s a weird switch to make actually,” Purnell acknowledged. “I was watching Fallout today, and when Lucy does even the slightest thing bad that’s like so new for her, I’m like, ‘Rhiannon would do that in a heartbeat.’ I’m like, ‘Rhiannon can do that.’”
The new season of Fallout is set to premiere on December 17 on Prime Video, with new episodes available for streaming every Wednesday.
