Dodgers Make Exciting Partnership with Uniqlo for Field Naming Rights
Dodgers to Rename Field in Historic Sponsorship Deal with Uniqlo
LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers are poised to break a 64-year tradition as they prepare to rename their playing surface, marking the first corporate sponsorship in the storied history of Dodger Stadium. The announcement comes as the Dodgers have agreed to a partnership with Japanese fashion giant Uniqlo, which will see the field named "Uniqlo Field at Dodger Stadium."
This strategic alliance is viewed as a significant move, leveraged by the global appeal of superstar Shohei Ohtani. Reports indicate that the agreement positions Uniqlo as the Dodgers’ top sponsor, offering exclusive marketing and promotional privileges.
While the financial details of the deal have not been disclosed, it is anticipated to be worth millions. Since Ohtani’s addition to the team, the Dodgers have already enjoyed a surge in revenue from Japanese partnerships, estimated at $70 million.
The sponsorship includes prominent advertising, with plans for a new sign to be erected in center field. However, specific details regarding the dollar value of the contract and the final design elements for the field-level branding remain undisclosed.
An official announcement is expected before the commencement of the 2026 MLB season, with fans likely to see the new Uniqlo branding by Opening Day on March 26.
