David Koepp Reimagines Michael Crichton’s ‘Westworld’ for Warner Bros Film
New Adaptation of Classic Film in Development
The upcoming project revitalizes a classic film originally featuring Yul Brynner, Richard Benjamin, and James Brolin. While the original was produced by MGM, this new iteration will be developed under Warner Bros., the studio behind the concept’s recent television adaptation by Lisa Joy and Jonah Nolan.
Renowned screenwriter David Koepp has been tasked with crafting the script, and notable filmmakers are currently expressing interest in the project.
Koepp, who recently penned the script for Jurassic World: Rebirth, has reunited with original Jurassic Park director Steven Spielberg for Disclosure Day, set to release on June 12 through Universal. This film is anticipated to be a major hit in the summer box office.
Koepp is represented by CAA and attorney David Fox.
