Daniela Melchior and Corey Mylchreest to Star in Romantic Dramedy "A Night in Porto"
Portugal is currently the backdrop for the production of A Night in Porto, a romantic dramedy featuring actors Daniela Melchior and Corey Mylchreest. The film is co-directed by Antonio Sequeira and Anastasiia Vorotniuk.
The narrative centers on two former lovers played by Melchior and Mylchreest, who reunite unexpectedly on Christmas night in Porto. Their encounter initiates a poignant journey, exploring the possibility of second chances at happiness. The screenplay was crafted by Sequeira.
Produced by Kurious Studios in collaboration with Porto-based Homnage Films and Pris Audiovisuais, the film’s producing team includes Steven Flynn and Sequeira for Kurious, while Roberto Santos leads production for Homnage. Gil Santos and Antonio Augusto serve as executive producers for Pris Audiovisuais.
Melchior has recently garnered attention for her performances in several high-profile films, including Anaconda, Road House, The Suicide Squad, and Fast X. Mylchreest, known for his roles in Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story and My Oxford Year, is also making waves in the industry.
Sequeira previously received the Audience Award for Best Feature at the Austin Film Festival for his debut film, Autumn – A Minha Casinha, and was recognized by Moviemaker magazine as one of the "25 Screenwriters to Watch."
