Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson’s ‘Fightland’ to Premiere on Starz: First Look Photos Released
Starz has announced the premiere of its new series, Fightland, set for Friday, July 31. The show will debut with one episode and will feature new episodes released weekly on the same night. First-look images from the family crime drama are available below.
Executive-produced by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson through G-Unit Film & Television, Fightland centers on a disgraced, formerly incarcerated boxing champion who returns to London to exact revenge on the crime syndicate he believes betrayed him. This high-stakes narrative is filled with intense action and complex characters, showcasing a world defined by money and power.
The story follows Duke Kilroy (Howard Charles), who becomes the world heavyweight champion only to see his brother Calvin brutally murdered in a violent attack. Sentenced to eight years in a U.S. prison for voicing his rage, Duke’s return to society is marred by revelations that compel him to track down the man he believes is responsible: Kingsley Marshall (Nicholas Pinnock), a criminal kingpin and his former promoter. However, Kingsley has disappeared, leaving behind his wife, Joy (Deborah Ayorinde)—Duke’s former love—and their children.
In a quest for revenge, Duke collaborates with a cartel eager to dominate London’s drug market. He embarks on a perilous mission to infiltrate Kingsley’s empire from within, vying to bring down the man he holds responsible for his brother’s death. Yet, amid a tumultuous and dangerous criminal landscape, Duke faces numerous challenges that threaten to derail his plans, needing to summon all his skills as a fighter to achieve the ultimate prize—retribution for his brother.

The series was created by Daniel Fajemisin-Duncan and Marlon Smith, who also serve as executive producers and writers, along with Damione Macedon and Raphael Jackson Jr., who function as showrunners, executive producers, and writers.
Jackson produces through G-Unit Film & Television, in collaboration with Francis Hopkinson and Kate Leadbetter of Expanded Media. Otto Bathurst directs and executive produces the first two episodes. Fightland marks Starz’s first wholly owned series as the network continues to expand its programming lineup as an independent entity.
