Cori Broadus, daughter of rapper Snoop Dogg, has announced that her baby girl is finally home after a lengthy stay in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). The 54-year-old artist’s daughter took to Instagram to share the news, confirming the return of her daughter, who has yet to be named, following a 10-month NICU experience.
Cori welcomed her first child with fiancé, Wayne Deuce, during an early birth at 25 weeks. In her emotional post, she wrote, “She’s home. 🤍 Thank you for every prayer, every message, every ounce of love. God heard them all. 🕊️✨.”
In a series of Instagram Stories, Cori documented the joyous occasion of leaving the hospital. A video captured her and Wayne packing their hospital room and preparing to take their daughter home. As they exited, Cori excitedly announced, “We’re leaving,” while showing the room they had spent so much time in.
Cori first shared the arrival of her baby back on February 28, when she posted a black-and-white image of her newborn’s foot. In that announcement, she expressed her gratitude and vulnerability, stating, “The princess arrived at 6 months. I’ve cried and cried, I’ve compared and compared, blaming myself that I wasn’t able to give her all that she needed. But no matter what, God always shows me that I’m His Child!”
She also reflected on the premature birth, noting, “Baby girl came at 25 weeks today and she’s perfect as ever! Thank You God for getting me this far no matter the odds that are constantly thrown against me 🙏.”
During her recovery, Cori informed her followers that she underwent a cesarean section. She documented the experience on Instagram, celebrating its success with the caption, “1st c-section was success:) s/o to the man up above.”
In another update shared from her hospital bed, Cori revealed that she initially sought medical attention after believing she was experiencing digestive discomfort. Medical professionals later diagnosed her with HELLP syndrome— a serious condition involving hemolysis, elevated liver enzymes, and low platelets, usually occurring in pregnancy’s later stages or after childbirth. This syndrome can pose serious health risks if untreated, and Broadus expressed gratitude to her medical team for prompt action, stating that waiting longer could have resulted in severe complications.
Cori concluded her message with a heartfelt reminder, encouraging her followers to listen closely to their bodies, stating, “Ladies please listen to your bodies and don’t believe everything you see on TIK TOK (talking to myself lowkey).”
